Biography

Kaveh Soory is a Performance-Driven and Creative Music Composer with various successful tracks for podcasts, short films, adverts, animations, video arts, Pop/Rock music. A designer of original sounds and videos Tailored for any type of Multimedia. A creative sound artist with proficient use of multiple audio software, hardware, programs and plugins.

He was born on 24 of September 1980, in Tehran-Iran. In those days, western music was forbidden, and there was no official production of music inside the country.

Most of the albums released by western labels such as EMI, A&E records, Sub Pop, Sun, Blue Note, Chess, Tamla Motown, and many more were sold under the counter in crooked alleyways of Tehran on tapes with generally poor quality of the recording.

These sonic pieces of art, mainly written and performed by famous western artists and musicians, were deeply influential on young desirous souls such as Kaveh.

This canon became a good stimulus for him to become a self-taught Musician and study the sound scientifically and artistically. In June 2020 he successfully achieved his Bachelor of art in Creative Music Technology from the University of Salford in Manchester.

He migrate to the UK in 1999. Since then he is settled in Manchester in the Northwest of England.

He produced his conceptual album, “ Koozeh”, in 2015 which is available as single tracks on sound cloud, iTunes, Spotify, CD baby, Google Play, and most of the download and streaming platforms.

This album is privileged by lyrics from two contemporary postmodern Persian poets, Seyed Mehdi Mousavi and Fatemeh Ekhtesari

who live in exile for the sake of their Arts. One of the tracks Called Tehran, written by Fatemeh Ekhtesari, is the story of a woman who lives in a society that is controlled by religious authorities.

Kaveh’s main instrument is guitar and vocal, but he is also active as a Sound and Video Engineer/Designer/Creator and has a vast knowledge in Multimedia Fields.

He has participated in various projects from BBC Art and BBC Radio as a sound recordist, Musician, and foley artist.

He had various collaborations commissioned by Credible organizations such as HOME MANCHESTER with young artists around the globe. Situation Number One is a recent collaboration with talented artist and animator Parham Ghalamdar, commissioned and funded by Sheba Arts.
